Every team is made up of individuals with different abilities, personalities, and energy levels.
For a team to work well, responsibility must be shared fairly, not equally in name only.
Some students naturally take initiative and organize tasks.
Others are stronger thinkers, listeners, or problem-solvers.
Leadership does not mean forcing everyone into the same role — it means recognizing strengths and assigning responsibility wisely.
Problems arise when:
- one person carries most of the workload
- others contribute very little
- credit is distributed unfairly
Over time, this imbalance creates frustration and destroys motivation.
A leader’s responsibility is to protect fairness, even when it feels uncomfortable.
This may mean speaking up when work is not shared evenly or checking in with quieter teammates who may feel ignored.
Fairness builds trust.
Trust keeps teams working.
