About Lesson
Honor is an inner standard
Honor is not about:
- popularity
- praise
- winning approval
- avoiding consequences
Honor is about having a clear inner standard that guides actions — even when doing the right thing feels uncomfortable.
A person with honor does not ask:
“Will I get caught?”
They ask:
“Is this the right thing to do?”
Integrity: the backbone of leadership
Integrity means:
- your values and actions line up
- you behave honestly even when tempted
- you remain consistent in public and private
Leadership without integrity may succeed briefly,
but it cannot last.
Why honor earns trust
Trust grows when people see that a leader:
- keeps promises
- tells the truth
- acts fairly
- accepts consequences
Once trust is broken, leadership influence weakens — sometimes permanently.
