About Lesson
Learning Goals:
- Learn how to love others without changing who you are.
- Recognize warning signs of unhealthy love.
- Practice setting respectful boundaries in all kinds of relationships.
🧠 Healthy Love vs Unhealthy Love
Healthy Love:
- Encourages you to grow
- Lets you say no without guilt
- Listens to your voice
- Makes space for both people to be themselves
Unhealthy Love:
- Guilt-trips or manipulates you
- Makes you feel small or scared
- Doesn’t respect your time, feelings, or boundaries
- Makes you give up parts of yourself to keep the peace
🚩 Real-Life Example:
Your crush keeps demanding to know where you are and gets mad if you don’t reply instantly. They say it’s “because I love you.”
🚫 But love doesn’t mean control.
What to do: Talk to a trusted adult, practice assertive phrases, and step back to protect your emotional space.
🧱 How to Love With Boundaries
Loving someone doesn’t mean:
- You have to always agree
- You’re available 24/7
- You stop caring for yourself
Instead, try:
- “I care about you, but I also need alone time.”
- “I want to hear you, but not when you yell.”
- “Let’s talk later when we’re both calm.”
