About Lesson
“Trusting yourself doesn’t mean you always know the answer — it means you believe you can figure it out.”
What Is Self-Trust?
Self-trust means:
- Believing that your feelings, thoughts, and needs matter.
- Trusting that you can make decisions, learn from mistakes, and grow.
- Not needing constant approval to feel okay with who you are.
Self-trust is not:
- Thinking you’re always right.
- Ignoring advice or being stubborn.
- Being 100% confident all the time.
Why Is It Important?
If you don’t trust yourself, you might:
- Let others decide everything for you.
- Stay silent when something feels wrong.
- Doubt your choices, even when they feel right.
With self-trust, you:
- Can speak up kindly but firmly.
- Can bounce back after failing.
- Can explore who you want to be — not who others expect you to be.
Real-Life Example:
🎮 Imagine you’re playing a game you’ve never played before.
You hesitate to move, waiting for someone to tell you what to do.
But eventually, you have to pick up the controller.
You trust that you’ll learn as you go — and even if you lose, you’re gaining XP.
That’s self-trust: not knowing everything, but believing you can handle it.
