About Lesson
Have you ever had someone say something small, but it felt like they hit a nerve and your emotions exploded?
That’s not you being “too sensitive.”
That’s called a trigger.
🌪 What’s a Trigger?
A trigger is something that quickly causes a strong emotional reaction — anger, sadness, fear, embarrassment, or stress. It happens so fast that it feels like you’re reacting before you even think.
Triggers can be:
- Words (“You’re so lazy!”)
- Actions (someone rolling their eyes)
- Situations (being left out, blamed, or criticized)
Even if it seems small on the outside, it can feel huge inside — because it connects to something personal, like a past experience, a hidden fear, or a feeling of being disrespected.
🧠 Why They Matter:
You can’t control when you’re triggered, but you can learn to notice, understand, and respond differently.
