Adults sometimes react to the top of the iceberg, not realizing how deep it goes.

Your parent wants you to join a club that looks good on college applications.
You want to spend time learning video editing and making short films.
They say:

“This won’t help you in the real world.”
You feel:

  • Dismissed
  • Angry
