Earth is not just a place we live on — it is a living system full of different environments that support life in unique ways. From deserts to rainforests, oceans to cities, every area of Earth is made up of countless living and non-living parts that depend on each other. In this module, students explore how ecosystems work, why balance in nature matters, and how humans affect that balance through our everyday actions.
Students will learn that although nature is incredibly strong, it is also sensitive. One change in an ecosystem — such as removing a predator or polluting a water source — can create a chain reaction that affects everything else. This module helps students become more observant, thoughtful, and responsible members of Earth’s larger community.
