Today was a day-long spring break field trip. We went to the Orange County Great Park in Irvine, California, where the children ran around in the grass, soaking up the sunshine and enjoying themselves. Hot air ballooning was our theme for today’s activity. The teacher explained the principles of hot air ballooning and then we did a hands-on experience with the children climbing into the balloon.

“We are just a small and insignificant part of nature.”

The children stood on the hot air balloon and looked down the horizon. They all said the world is so big, and the end of Earth can’t be seen. We are just a small and insignificant part of nature.
